Ecommerce Training Malaysia: Questions Sellers Actually Ask

What do you actually teach?

How to sell on TikTok Shop, Shopee and Lazada, and how to make content that brings in sales. Everything is taught from a store I run myself, not from theory. Sessions cover product listing, ads, content, and the platform rules that get sellers suspended.

Is the training private or in a group?

All training is private, one to one, built around your own shop rather than a fixed syllabus. Face-to-face and Zoom are both available. I no longer run open group classes, but if you would rather learn alongside other people, gather your own group and I will run the session for you.

Which is better for me :  Face-to-Face class and the Zoom class?

The content is the same. Face-to-face means I sit with you and we work on your actual shop for the full session, which is why it costs more. Zoom is one to one as well, over screen share, and it suits sellers outside the Klang Valley or anyone who would rather not travel.

Is this for new online sellers or existing sellers?

If you already have a shop, I audit it before we start, then during the class we go gap by gap through what needs fixing to grow your sales. If you are starting from nothing, I teach you how to source products and design your images, and we set the shop up properly first, which saves you the mistakes that get new sellers suspended in month one. Then we run promotions to bring the sales in.

How much does ecommerce training cost in Malaysia?

At Kongpreneur, private training runs from RM2,999 to RM3,99 depending on the platform and the number of training days. Every private session is quoted after we talk about what you sell. HRDF price differs from private training.

Is ecommerce training HRDF Claimable?

Yes. I am an HRDF Certified Trainer, so corporate training can be claimed against your levy. For most Malaysian companies that means the cost comes from money you have already contributed rather than from cash flow. Ask me for a quotation and I will format it for your claim.

Do you offer refunds?

No. What you get instead is direct access to me after the class, so if you get stuck applying something we work through it. Nobody is left with a half-finished shop.

TikTok Shop Questions

How many violations does it take to get banned on TikTok Shop?

TikTok Shop runs a points-based system rather than a simple strike count, so the answer depends on what kind of violation it is. Severe violations can end an account immediately, while minor ones accumulate.

The four that most often end a Malaysian seller's account are covered in detail here: https://www.kongpreneur.com/blog/tiktok-shop-ban-4-fatal-violations-and-how-to-avoid-them

What products are prohibited on TikTok Shop?

TikTok Shop bans several whole categories outright, and restricts others so they need pre-approval before listing. The category that catches Malaysian sellers most often is health and beauty, where a claim printed on the packaging can breach the policy even if the product listing text is clean. What is a fake order violation on TikTok Shop?

A fake order violation is when TikTok detects orders placed to inflate a shop's numbers rather than genuine sales. It is treated seriously because it manipulates the ranking system, and it can result in penalties for the shop even where the seller did not arrange it themselves.

I am a new TikTok Shop seller. Where should I start?

Start with the rules, not the content. Most new TikTok Shop sellers lose the account before they lose money, because the violations that end a shop happen in the first weeks, usually from a product that should never have been listed or a claim on the packaging. Get the listings compliant first, then work on the videos.

Are you a certified TikTok trainer?

Yes. I am a TikTok Content Specialist and an HRDF Certified Trainer, and I run my own TikTok Shop alongside the training. TikTok training here is private, one to one, and taught on your shop rather than on slides. You can check Kong's credibility here : https://www.kongpreneur.com/aboutus

Can a banned TikTok Shop account be recovered?

If you shop gets banned, firstly you need to find out the main reason and avoid in the future. Gather evidence first and try to appeal via contacting TikTok Shop support or email .
Common violations that get your store banned is :
1. Fake orders (buying from own shop - even using your wife's or mom's account with the same IP address is considered a fake order)
2. Repeatedly selling prohibited category items (usually under fake categories) - example nicotine gummies listed as candy, or unauthorized selling of branded items.
Usually, TikTok bans are very hard to appeal. Its better to start a brand new store, with new company SSM documents, new email , new phone number and new IP address (internet) .

Shopee Seller Questions

How do I become a Shopee seller in Malaysia?

You register through Shopee Seller Centre with your details, a bank account for payouts and a verified phone number, and a valid Tax Identification Number (TIN).

Registration takes under an hour. What decides whether you actually sell is what happens next: how to list products to sell & how to do marketing in ecommerce.

Do you run a Shopee seller course or a Shopee class?

Yes. Shopee training is delivered as a private class, one to one, face to face or over Zoom, built around your own shop rather than a fixed syllabus. Most sellers take Shopee and Lazada together in the same session, since the listing and ads work overlaps.

Can you train me on Shopee Ads?

Yes. Shopee Ads is covered inside the private Shopee training, using your own products and your own budget rather than examples. Most sellers waste their first ad budget bidding on the wrong keywords for listings that were not ready to convert, so we fix the listing before we spend anything.

What is the difference between a Video Shopee Seller Course and Private Shopee training?

A course is recorded and the same for everyone. Private training is one to one, on your actual shop, and we work on your real listings and real numbers during the session. If you already have products live, private training will always be faster, because nothing is spent on parts that do not apply to you.

Lazada Seller Questions

How do I register as a Lazada seller in Malaysia?

You register through Lazada Seller Center with a business registration or an individual account, valid Tax number , a bank account for payouts, and a valid contact number. The setup itself takes under an hour. What takes longer, and what determines whether you ever sell anything, is how you list the products afterwards. Step by step here: https://www.kongpreneur.com/blog/how-to-sell-on-lazada-malaysia

How do I sell my product on Lazada?

Register as a seller, list the product with the right category and attributes, then optimise the listing so it can actually be found. Most new sellers get stuck at the third step, because a correctly uploaded product that nobody searches for still sells nothing. Do I need a registered business to sell on Lazada or Shopee?

Can a foreigner sell on Lazada or Shopee Malaysia?

Yes, a foreigner can start selling on Lazada or Shopee with a valid SSM Business Document. Means you need to start a Malaysian company in order to sell.
